Karina Mosser has been an artist and art educator in the Washington, DC, area since the 1990s. She has developed a blending technique that adds brilliance to colors. She primarily works in soft pastel and PanPastel.
Karina is a member of the Pastel Society of America (PSA). She regularly exhibits in local galleries. Her most recent works can be found on Instagram @karina_mosser.
Karina has long believed that appreciation of art offers benefits to everyone. The Washington Post in December 2025 noted that recent research connects immersion in visual art to human flourishing—it can reduce pain and illness and increase feelings of altruism and cooperation. Karina’s work is intended to project a strong feeling of hope, harmony, and serenity.
Education
Karina holds a degree in education and art studies from Moscow University.
Exhibitions
Karina has exhibited her work in Moscow, Russia, and continues to do so in the Washington, DC area, where she currently resides. Her work also frequents many Northern Virginia and Maryland venues.
